PROGRAM INSTRUCTOR & COORDINATOR, INSPIRE LABRADOR

Andrea Keats is a dynamic and experienced leader with other 15 years of experience in business and community development. Born and raised in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, where she is now raising her own family, Andrea has had a lifelong connection to Labrador, and a deep understanding of the cultural and social landscape of the region and its people. Andrea has completed her Bachelor of Arts, Community Studies with a focus on communication and political science through Cape Breton University, and has continued her education through various professional development opportunities. Throughout her professional career, Andrea has worked in both the non-profit and for-profit world with a focus on enhancing community supports for Indigenous people and supporting Indigenous entrepreneurs to start and maintain successful businesses.

Andrea has been involved in the coordination of events and programs that bring together people from all over Labrador, such as the Labrador Creative Arts Festival, the Labrador Winter Games, The Trapline Marathon, and the Lake Melville Soccer Club. Andrea is excited to work with Inspire Labrador and share her knowledge with participants to grow and build upon their skills, while also having the opportunity to learn, cultivate meaningful relationships, and create a supportive and empowering experience.
